dnews Special Edition - IT'S OK #8
does it rock? yea baby, yea!

**** Chart Position ****
The Radio One Top 40 chart has just played "It's OK" at number 18.

The DJ, Mark Goodier, had this to say, "It's another hit for a band who've
had three top 20 singles so far. Deeper and Promise, both from '97, and
their most recent, See The Star, number 16, in March last year. From their
current album, it's Delirious? and It's OK, entering at number 18. <plays
song> Number 18, a new entry, delirious? and It's OK."

**** Spurious? Predictions ****
Adam had guessed 12, so he was right for the first day position.
Adrian had guessed 20, so he was the closest person. Well done!
Mike had guessed 22, so despite his pessimism, he's not the furthest away.
Scooby had guessed 8, and he was the furthest person out. This means it is
now his job to manually unclog the cgi server with a toothbrush. Ha! Ha! Ha!

**** d:end? ****
It may not have been what we were all hoping, but it was a fantastic
fight-back in the second half of the week when delirious? were slipping
badly. And let us never forgot that for an effectively unsigned band, any
chart placing is a fantastic achievement - especially to chart ahead of
popular bands like REM, Smashing Pumpkins and Muse (the latter of which
recieved huge Radio One support...note the irony) - and 18 is a quality
achievement. As ever, it was all down to the fans, so well done guys.
Thanks, as ever, to Furious? Records and Jon Thatcher for their help.

18? Here's to more like it.
