**** Thatch’s Facts ****
Jon, after realising the embarrassment of his previous answers, sticks to
the straight and narrow when deflecting the ever-curious Spurious? crew from
their task to become the Ultimate Anoraks.

S?: Who is the girl in the video?
JT: An actress named Dom
S?: What market are you aiming for with the release of Its OK, as it’s
'Magic 105.4'ish and also 'X-FM'ish at same time?
JT: To be honest I’m not quite sure which market it’s ok will fit on, we
just know that its a great song and it will make its own place if needs be.

"It's great to see so many of you out here," said Martin, "we're constantly
amazed at your overwhelming support. Thankyou very much." And there were
many of us; the prestigious venue was packed out, with Spurious?
guesstimating over 1,500 there. Kicking off with Metamorphis, Delirious? put
on a quality show considering the lack of stage space. "I wanna see this
dance floor jump!" yelled Martin as Stu G broke into the opening chords of
Bliss; and jump it did, the vertical oscillations not ceasing as d: rampaged
through Gravity, Heaven and Deeper with the mellow interruption of It's OK.
Stu G's guitar got incredibly knackered in Deeper, so much so that he
practically missed his solo and many other riffs, so the song went on for
longer than normal as the rest of the band carried on playing while the
great goateed ginger one got his guitar fixed. Although the signing session
was very file-past-as-quick-as-possible, all the lads had kind words and
were just totally chuffed to have such support.

In a more relaxed session, delirious? played six tunes - the same as Oxford
St, minus Metamorphis - and had playful banter with the crowd. One man
yelled "Too good for Radio One!" to which the cheers were defeaning, but
Martin looked sort of embarressed as in not wanting to comment, but you
could tell he agreed : ). Stew Smith also had his fan club with him - four
five year-olds in little ballerina dresses standing behind the window behind
him. It was great to see him put incredible effort into thwacking his drums
in 'Heaven' and then turn round and give the ickle kiddies a smile - and the
"nice guy" side of delirious? was emphasised when Tim did the soundcheck -
and much of the gig! - with his child sitting next to him at the back of the
makeshift stage (that child will have a ringing in his ears for days to
follow). Stu G got some meaty solos in standing on a box, which worried me
as I was standing so close I was afraid of being hit by a flying elbow, and
nearly was hit when a string spanged off his guitar during 'Deeper' - which,
as a result, sounded awful (but fun!). The lads looked really tired in the
signing session and disappointed that it was a file-past-quickly thing
again, I'm sure they'd love to have a nice chat with many of the fans. But
it's been a long week for the lads, and hopefully the fruits are still to
come.

**** London Tonight Review ****
Delirious? appeared live on "London Tonight" - the local ITV lunchtime
news - and were quizzed by the presenter. Although Martin said at Oxford St
that it didn't go well, it was ok - the presenter focused a lot more on
Christianity and that side of the band rather than their music. A transcript
should follow ASAP.

At Guildford HMV, Martin revealed 'It's OK' had slipped to number 16, and
followed it up by hinting that a Top 20 placing would be optimistic. Too
good for Radio One? To chart without radio support is always a fantastic
achievement, and as for Radio One - as Martin said on the Big Breakfast,
"This thing is going to go huge, and we'd rather Radio One were a part of
that than not."
