**** Apologies ****
I'd like to start off by apologising for being overly negative in the last
issue. Apparently there's (a) nothing wrong with the 'Church of England'
newspaper, (b) See The Star is a great song and (c) Tony Patoto's cultured
left foot wasn't needed to provide Sweden with the kick up the backside they
might have needed to beat Poland. However, Tony, as a Canadian, hasn't got a
clue what I'm talking about. More apologies there then.

**** Bass Face ****
While at the gig in dallas texas, i noticed there was a picture of someones
face on the pickguard of jons bass, without my glasses i wasnt able to see
who it was...does anyone there have any info about this?

Spurious? says - sure do. It's Paul Newman. Not much more I can say on that.

**** Song Most Missed ****
Spurious? would like to post the question, "What delirious? song do you most
miss from current live performances?". The response, even before the
question was asked, was emphatic. Answers to adam@spurious.org (really!).
~ Adam says, "I'd love to see a return of the Happy Song!"
~ A. Kirkman says, "It must be the Happy Song!"
~ Adam K. says, "Delirious? should bring the Happy Song back into their
regular 'squad' of songs for live performances."
~ AJK says, "I haven't seen delirious? since the Cutting Edge days when they
still played the Happy Song. What a great song that is!"
~ Gareth says, "Hi y'all folks! I come from Texas and I'm a big country 'n'
western fan so I was hopin' that delirious? would be playin' that there
'Appy Song when I next get to see them live!"
~ d:les says, "I'v been to five delirious? gigs in the last year & i haven't
got a clue."
~ Namkrik Mada says, "It must be the Happy Song, just for the way you can
re-arrange it to spell happy snog."
~ Mandi Karmak says, "The Happy Song has always spoken to me and has given
me dancin' feet - I pray for the day delirious? play it live again!!"

**** Look-a-like Contest ****
Henry Bainbridge asks, "has anyone noticed the startling resemblance between
Martin Smith and Sid Vicious from the Sex pistols, or Tim Jupp and Harry
Hill?"

Spurious? has noticed some resemblance between the pairings, and would also
like to point out the similarities between Martin and Chesney Hawkes, Jonson
and a Tellytubby and Stu G and any Alders' furry carpet fabric, living or
dead, are purely coincidental.

Got any more delirious? look-a-likes? Send them to adam@spurious.org and
I'll include them in the next issue of dnews.

**** Gravity Video ****
Doug Ledbetter asks, "I would like to get ahold of the video from the song
"Gravity". Do you plan to post videos anytime soon?"

Spurious? says: no, I'm afraid not. Although we could put the video on the
site as I have a copy (thanks Gareth!) and Scooby has the know-how, it would
break copyright and make Furious? Records pretty furious. Spurious? has
always had the utmost respect for the Furious? ruling on pictures and videos
used on the 'net, so (until the ruling is changed...) you'll have to make do
by imagining the video with the aid of an office wheely chair.

**** I've Never Noticed That Before ****
Michael Ramsey says, "I have only just really become a deliriou5? fan (I had
such a hard time getting past the Jerry Springer look-alike on the cover to
really start to listen to them-- my loss)".

Spurious? says: I've never noticed that before. Strange how Jerry is
catapulted to fame shortly after featuring on the cover of King Of Fools.
Makes you think what the future has in store for lightbulbs, elephants,
cutlery, hands, thermal images, jon's goggles, drinks, dancin' feet and high
chairs.....unless of course you own the US version of Mezzamorphis and you
don't 'get' that joke.

**** Meet The Man ****
Spurious? are proud to announce another member to join the award-winning
Spurious? core team, Mike Jones. Take it away Mike.....

mike calling....[call me 'm.' it solves confusion at spurious? as there's
two of us]....well thought i'd better let you know who i am. Well i've just
started a degree in Multimedia Systems at the London Guildhall University
and i hope to eventually do the kind of stuff that goes on in the background
of d:gigs [only much better!]. I've just got engaged to a beautiful woman
called Lydia [<big grin>] and we plan to get married in september next year
[you're all invited!]. My job here at Spurious? is to be excited about the
load of things that we could do and don't [and probably won't] and to do
some of the maintenance. My hope is for Spurious? to continue expanding
into areas not previously reached and i that you, the fans, will continue to
support us by returning again and again. have a nice day :]

That's it. Well, only 11 colons and 32 question marks used this issue.

Someone should really sack the author.

Adam, Adrian, Mike, Mike, Scooby
