**** It's OK Track Listing ****
There has been
word that: "there will be 2 cd singles. as for the
songs.....there will be jesus' blood and pursuit of happiness.....along with
other things...." from Furious? Records.
For those that
don't know, It's OK is to be released on the 21st of February
2000. The song "Jesus' Blood" appeared on the US version of Mezzamorphis,
and is a semi-epic song that has great atmosphere (until *that* choir).
"Pursuit Of Happiness" is the hilarious 60's song that swings into
action
accompanied by a chucklesome video.
**** Postponed
Gigs ****
The UK November gigs were postponed becuase Martin's throat was giving him
grief. However, the US November dates are still going ahead, and the UK gigs
have been rescheduled for mid-December. The confirmed new dates are:
~ Sheffield Octagon

~ Port Talbot Afan Lido> 12th December / 01639 763 214
~ Cambridge Corn Exchange > 13th December / 01223 357 851
Furious? Records had this to say on d:vine (http://www.delirious.co.uk):
"We are extremely
sorry to have to inform you that, due to unforeseen
circumstances, we have had to postpone the three Delirious? November gigs.
We apologise for the late notice and hope that this does not cause too many
difficulties...We would like to assure you that the ticket you have
purchased will be valid for these new dates. However, if this causes a
problem, please contact your ticket agent at the place where your ticket was
purchased BY 22nd NOVEMBER for a refund. We do apologise for having to make
this change, but hope that you will be able to join the band on the new date
in December."
Spurious? says:
Although this now means none of the Spurious? team will be
at the Cambridge gig, the whole Spurious? team will be present at the
Shepherd's Bush gig.

Room 101 ****
The new Spurious? page - Room 101 - has another, erm, hilarious addition to

it backwards.

searching for mentions of Delirious?

6. Learn to sing it in 10 different languages
7. See how many original things you can come up with to kill time

12. Listen to KOF 2649 times.

dependant on connection and machine speed. Ü
15. Ask the d: list, if there are any new MP3's on the net.
16. After your single goes no. 1, go on tour with d:
17. Wonder many times whether Martin really is Chesney Hawkes or not.
18. Sort out the mess of two people adding to the list at once!
19. Decide that actually there's going to be more of a problem with the
number of >>>s in the message and sort that out instead
20. Go to lots of boyzone concerts <<stop hitting me!!>>
21. Sort out your keyboard error that you made in an earlier post
22. Play it at every cell meeting for the remaining Tuesdays
23. Go around singing the chorus, until everyone you know has it in their
heads.
24. Ask Furious, if the single version will be different in any way

31. Explain to your hairdresser why they SWEAR in it.
32. Discover, when revising for English, that you predicted It's OK's
release as far back as the 16th September in your English essay, and show
off how prophetic you are.
33. Write your English coursework, trying to fit in delirious? quotes,
pretending that when you quote from Martin Smith, that Smith is an esteemed
critic on Fowles' "The Collector".
34. Perform mundane updates on www.spurious.org that will have d:starved
people rushing to look at them, only to discover it's Scooby's recipe for
chocolate hobnobs.
35. Attempt to eat a custard cream by only eating the biscuit bit and bing
left with a slab of custard cream inside bit. Mmmmm.
36. Attend 16 Sunday Services (not counting extra Christmas ones) and
ponder the statement "Belief was never meant to be boring"!!!
37. Read a Douglas Coupland novel and see where Jon gets his inspiration
from.
38. Move this from when I first put it at 29...... Re-insert Mike Rimmer's
number 21 at number 30. because @ndy did a number 18
39. Realise Adam already put in Mike's point at 29, then that he's added a
load more just a few minustes before me and oh dear this is getting messy
lets add mine again and hope that this doesn't get any worse :o(
40. Design a groovy CD insert for It's OK single
41. Realise someone's already done number 40 so you really ought to come up
with a better idea
42. Wonder if this could be published in a book and if people would find it

hey! - it's ok
45. Suggest that Adam/Scooby or whoever get this on spurious with an auto
list counter to stop 18 happening
46. Have a couple of perfect days :)
47. Go play paintball and think that you got hit when you really didn't

doesn't have to sweat anymore
53. Try to type mAd FiDdLeR 50 times fast
54. Try and use the phrase "pretty as hell" in as many conversations
as
youcan. Example: Instead of "Wow, that girl is really hot!"...use..."That
girl is pretty as hell."
55. After reading number 46, find some one to have perfect days with.

Thank You ****
Send a 'Thank you' to the group for me about the recent visit to Illinios. I
along with several undergrads here at Wheaton College enjoyed the Joliet
concert immensely. To bad about the no dancing in the aisle though, it was a
scene reminisent of my own undergraduate days at Baylor University. Lord
willing, I hope to work on a documentary in the UK in the new year. I hope
to see a concert of 'delirious' when there. God's Peace.

Silasdavirus says,
"I think it was pretty cool that d:'s "It's OK" was used
as background music in an episode of "Get Real", a Canadian show being
aired
in Toronto! It was so weird when I was watching it, and all of a sudden, d:
music was being played in coordination with the scenes! This just shows how
flexible delirious?'s songs can be, as the bunch said once--that the songs
could be used to praise God and such, but also could be used for a
relationship with a girlfriend or boyfriend. It's also good that the North
American secular market is coming along with delirious?'s great music, and
that it realises its greatness!"
Spurious? says:
It's nice to see d: getting some TV play. Hopefully more to
come to help promote the new single! Thanks for letting Spurious? know!

This month has
seen spurious.org's highest day, highest week, and highest
month, in terms of unique visitors. It's important to note that this is
compared to even the month that Mezzamorphis hit the shelves.
It's also noteworthy
that this month has seen a considerable number of
updates to the site. What does this tell us? ;)
And perhaps the
best thing is....we're only getting started! Keep checking
back to http://www.spurious.org for regular
and interesting updates!

US Gripe ****
Chris says, "There are no good ways for d:family to get ahold of the UK
singles released in the USA. The USA Christian bookstores do NOT stock
singles, the 'secular' stores won't order them, and so WE, the d:straught
must scrape and fight to
get the singles.
Firstly, Sparrow
records needs to 'get a life' and loosen their choke-hold
on the great flow of d:material (yes, Pete, be innovative and remember WHY
you are in the music business... lest your company dies like the other
dinosaurs!!??). Sparrow and Virgin needs to release the material
domestically... ALL OF IT !!!
Second, we need
a www site where we can order the UK singles... helps the
charting of the singles, gives us d:termined fans a venue to get the music
(especially the 'previously unreleased' material, which is SO
precious!)...maybe a way we can pay and down-load MP3's or something as
well...Third, bring the singles on tour and sell them. Make sure your US
distribution contract isn't so restrictive. Be willing to look 'indie...'
Last, RELEASE
EVERYTHING YOU RECORD... in the UK AND in the US!! U2 has made
music history by becoming the most-released "B-side band" ever, and
it has
been SO incredible to listen to so much good music! Hey, d:brothers... we
want to hear EVERYTHING you guys crank out... put it out there!
After 20 years
working in Christian music, I'm excited that Delirious could
become the first REAL band that is 'batting like the big boys', and this
whole issue of releasing singles with B sides is a critical issue. Miss out
on this one, and Delirious could become just like 99% of what's on the racks
right now... controlled, market-driven releases by Christian music
executives who've lost touch with the new waves of the music industry and
strangle-hold the MUSIC for corporate reasons..."
Spurious? says: Some strong words there. Comments?
There is a US
petition to bring singles and merchandise
to the US market. Well worth a visit when we find the URL to keep this d:thing
spreading.

As Christmas time hoves into view (at least in terms of hype and shopping),
the d:train kicks up another gear with a series of gigs demoing new
material. Then, as we enter the year 2000 and our computers crash, we can
look forward to the double CD release of "It's OK" to the UK mainstream.
